Where is the best home cooking breakfast in Columbia? Does anyone remember the biscuit shop that used to be across the street from the stadium?

I used to go to the Biscuit Shop pretty frequently. I miss that place. Did it re-open anywhere else?
Besides chain restaurants like Lizards Thicket and Cracker Barrel I don’t think there are any home cooked type places.
I have a few brunch spots that I like. The Grand on Main and DiPrato’s which is practically on the USC Campus.

Back when I was at Carolina...in the 80's, we used to run over to Cayce and eat at the Steak & Egg Kitchen...I know it's gone now but boy they had the best breakfast...are there still any Steak & Egg Kitchens around? In Georgia or Florida maybe?

If we’re going down memory lane, Capitol Cafe was a late night breakfast joint.
