the big switch made on the offensive line. Our coaching staff obviously decided they needed to make a change in the OL to give Rattler as much protection as possible so they put their 5 best pass blockers out there the last two games. They moved offensive tackle, Jakai Moore, to LG. Jakai didn't do well at run blocking but I thought he did really good at pass blocking. This allowed the pocket to hold and gave Rattler enough time to sit in there and fire away. It was a brilliant chess move and it made all the differece in the world imo.

Rattler had a ton of time versus UT. Not quite as much versus Clemson, but still better than earlier in the season when he was constantly under duress.

Will trust you on the personnel moves ... two things that stood out to me (without any film study):

1) Adkins being used as an extra blocker in the TN game
2) Rattler staying in the pocket and more disciplined

Adkins has been staying in and pass blocking for a while. Maybe he did it more in those games. Rattler has been dealing with someone coming right up the middle and forcing him to move. These last two games are the first time in which he had a consistent pocket form.

I would add:
throwing more when not expected (i.e. 1st & 2nd down)
ball placement on throws (receivers catching on the run and not having to reach)
receivers catching the ball

MT, will trust you on that, too ... perhaps I noticed Adkins taking space up on that middle lane ... also, Rattler did not immediately run to the right (moving pocket) as much ... on the TD pass to Wells, I loved how he went straight back in the pocket for about 1-2 seconds and then moved right ... as he did that, it stood out to me instantly (meaning he was seeing the field well and not rushing out of the pocket and losing opportunities) ... the past two weeks have been textbook and it has been a joy to see ... I believe we bring in two 4 star OL next year, too ... keep building the trenches ...

What helped the OL against Tenn was getting the ball out quick. Slows down a rush because it will essentially take out linebackers who will be forced to to know play the slants, underneath crossers, and quick passes into the flat. Unless you decide to decide to man up with limited safety help.
