A comment on Bill Walton's thread about his cannabis use for cancer got me thinking, and thought I'd share my experience with CBD oil.
A family member recommended. Started a tincture dose of about 750. Noticed better sleep and less desire for alcohol, but still drank intermittently. No perceived effects on pain/aches. Over time, was up to a 3000 MG dose, once per day, and sleeping well.
Upon my next yearly physical, (about a year later) bloodwork showed very elevated liver enzymes. My thought was "wtf, might as well get back on the bourbon". Was scheduled for a sonogram and CT liver protocol. Showed slightly fatty liver, but nothing to account for the high spike in enzymes. I never told the Dr's I was on CBD, but it didn't dawn on me until a few days later. That was the only thing that had changed in my habits for many years.
I stopped CBD cold turkey. At my 6-month follow-up, blood work was even better than before. Take it for what it's worth.
Cautionary Tale: I'm back to drinking, and occasional CBD use.
I guess the instrument of death matters not if your dead anyway.
Carry on, Pack.
