Turned on the UCLA game and Oregon and couldn’t take listening to him for more than 3 minutes.

You can tell his play by play guy is trying to stay professional but that he’s done - Walton just went on a rant about why they don’t have fans there and the play by play guy kept trying to change the subject.

Hope they are paying that guy double for having to roll with Bill

Bill Walton is very polarizing. Some love him and some can’t stand listening to him. Count me in the latter category. He ruins a basketball game watching experience for me. It’s obvious ESPN tells him to play up this flower child hippie character. He wasn’t like this at all when he used to call NBA games back in the day.

It’s all done intentionally to be different. I’m not saying Bill is putting on an act, he’s not, but he’s capable of calling a basketball game without doing this. As already mentioned he called NBA games for years and kept this stuff in check, now he leans into it to give the broadcasts a different vibe.
