He had 3 1st round draft picks in 2018, and had a top defense. When they left we were 71st. It seems pretty obvious to me.
He suffered some sort of mental breakdown in 2020 at Michigan, felt really bad for him.
We had the top defense in 2018 because of the talent. He’s an average coordinator. 2018 will go down as maybe the biggest what if in MSU history if Mullen would’ve stayed one more year
If we could get Montez Sweat, Jeff Simmons, Jonathan Abram, Gerri Green, Willie Gay to come back too, that would be swell.
Thanks for the reminder of the talent that Joe Moorhead squandered. That team should have finished 10-2.
The first half of the 2019 game at Auburn was about as bad as it gets. Of course this year vs LSU wasn’t much better

Got very few big plays out of him, then he went pro early.
Yet Todd Grantham’s sorry *** had those exact same players and still gave up 30+ in half our SEC games. Scheme matters a hell of a lot.
