***-Beating in NEPA as we speak....I honestly don't know if I have ever experienced one of these. Temp was 51 degrees at my place at 9am....it is now 12. Winds are howling, my driveway is an ice skating rink. My yard, which was a lake isnow totally frozen...This is like Alabama vs The Citadel!!

It rained cats and dogs all day yesterday here in Olney. We were able to dry out before the cold hit, no ice even though we’re at 15 degrees with an ungodly wind chill. Maybe it’s my imagination but seemingly my part of DMV manages to scoot under the rain-snow line pretty constantly.

The issue with my neck of the woods is that it was pouring this morning and the rain along with the melting snow from the 5 inches we got a week ago had the roads gushing with water. Then....it turned from rain to a whiteout in 2 minutes...the gushing water froze instantly. Winds have to be blowing 35mph as I am writing this....

Similar here in mount airy. Over 2” of rain and currently 12 degrees with winds gusting in the 40 mph range I assume.

no snow or ice, hope trees stay up everywhere

Yeah, we are fortunate to miss that. My daughters will be coming for dinner tomorrow and both will have pretty painless commutes, the roads will be clear. The weather is going to be a huge negative for a great number of people; it’s going to be a real mess.

No icing to speak of here. I can’t believe it.

Was 72 degrees here around noon and the front came through and it has dropped all the way to 55 now, lol. However, it’s supposed to drop to 36 degrees tonight. High 48 degrees tomorrow with a low of 33, and this is in SW Florida.

Just went to 9 degrees here. One year ago today I was on The Flamingo Golf Course at Lely Resort in Naples, Fla. It was 80+, sweating a bit, smoking an Ashton. Had a few pints at the Sam Snead Lounge after I got done... No golf today!

Very cold and the rain finally let up in NoVA. But, tree fell on power lines at the end of my driveway and we’re supposed to go to a show tonight in DC. Have to go to a friends house to get ready. Oh - and my son busted his face this morning knocking out his top front baby tooth. He knocked the other one out in a similar fashion a year ago. Looks like Leon Spinks now.

Just got in from Christmas shopping. The parking lots are dangerous and the wind at the Montage Shops was unbearable! We had a similar temp here this morning with 4 degrees in Pittsburgh at the same time.

I forgot you were in Olney. We were down that way Veterans Day weekend for my daughter's soccer tournament. That's a nice area once you get away from the beaten path.

Back before agenda driven broadcasting, this would be called an Arctic Blast

Bomb Cyclone is far more scary and manipulative. First, what is more scary than bomb. And second, cyclone is effectively a hurricane that strikes in the South Pacific

They literally joined two words that have nothing to do with this not that uncommon weather phenomenon to scare us.

Aka “Hermey” in our house. Surprised he didn’t say it was “pretty f****n’ windy” out. 😂😂😂😂
A few years back, he cut me off with the station's car on 81 and I pulled up next to him and he was laughing at me. It's a running joke with my friends and family. I tried to get on Talkback about it with my best heynah impersonation but they didn't air it. 🤣

We had the temperature drop here in NEW. JERSEY. o_O , but no snow. The roads are dry (and salted). It’s very windy. I went out to Starbucks an hour ago and got blown.
