Bonus points at NCAA tournament

I subscribed to Rokfin this year, which was a good idea, because it provides premium access to Intermat among many other sites. Today Rokfin posted an Intermat article entitled "By the Numbers, Penn State under Cael Sanderson", which was very interesting. Two numbers that jumped out for me was that Penn State earned 39.5 bonus points this year, and the team beat MIchigan by 36.5 points. Wrestling to win! Now Cael Sanderson has coached Penn State to 9 NCAA championships, and has only Ed Gallagher of Oklahoma (11) and Dan Gable of Iowa (15) to pass. What a wonderful idea it was to get Cael and his coaching team to come to Penn State

PSU did not score anywhere near 39.5 bonus points at NCAAs in 2022; that many bonus points would be unheard of.

By my count, PSU scored 16.5 bonus points. The 39.9 is more like the SUM of bonus points and advancement points.
