As I've been saying it looks like Citrus ,ReliaQuest, or Gator with a win, and Vegas or Texas with a loss.

Don't understand the Liberty Bowl pick by College Madness. Liberty is not going to take us 2 years in a row.....nor is any other bowl.

Hope like crazy it would be the Las Vegas Bowl. That would be my #1 hopeful pick. Florida bowls would be ok even though I'm not much on beaches, sand, and sun.

Add LSU over A&M to the cheering guide. Need them to stay in the top 12 of the CFP rankings to clear a path for the Citrus.

The mid tier bowls don’t “take” teams. The SEC basically decides for them.
Correct. The Citrus Bowl gets the first pick after all NY6 bowls are set.

Then, the "Pool of Six" (Texas Bowl, Las Vegas/Duke's, Music City, Gator, Liberty, Reliaquest) are assigned by the conference.
Las Vegas and Duke's Mayo (fka Belk Bowl) alternate an SEC tie-in each year.

Then, the Birmingham Bowl and the Gasparilla Bowl choose from whoever is bowl eligible and left over after that.

I put this in another thread, but I think this is our path to the Citrus:
  1. State wins the Egg Bowl.
  2. Bama, Tennessee, and LSU win this weekend.
  3. Georgia wins this weekend.
  4. TCU wins out.
  5. Ohio State beats Michigan handily.
  6. USC wins out.
  7. Washington or Oregon loses this weekend.
  8. Clemson wins out.

I think that very likely leaves us with the following scenario:
Playoffs: Georgia, Ohio State, USC, TCU
Non-CFP NY6: Bama, Tennessee, LSU, Michigan, Washington/Oregon, Clemson, Tulane, K-State/UNC/FSU/PSU?

That would leave State, Ole Miss, and South Carolina with the same conference record and State/Ole Miss would have a better overall record.
State would be two weeks removed from beating Ole Miss, which I feel like gives us the nod.
