Just saw Sports Illustrated projections. Get this, they have us playing in the Camellia Bowl on Christmas Day vs Old Dominion. They have Wisconsin vs Clemson in the Mayo Bowl which is impossible since it is a SEC/ACC matchup this year. Half of these goobers who do these projections have zero idea about the tie ins.

The Athletic updated its projections last night & still has us in the Music City Bowl against Purdue.

Sports Illustrated probably doesn't even know what conference we are in.

It’s amazing that they get paid for this. There is no way we go to the Camellia Bowl. It’s impossible.

Texas and Liberty seem to be the top possibilities.

Sports Illustrated lost all of the writers that made it great for years. It literally is the last place I'd go for useful information

Pat Forde is a sharp drop from Kurt Vonnegut.

I worked two Camilla Bowls. No way an SEC team plays in it due to bowl tie ins.

Final update for the week is in.

If there's big changes post-championship games, I may put up a new one, but I don't expect much in the way of trickle-down effects.

Interesting that there are hardly any Liberty Bowl projections. The 247 guys are all saying that's the chatter. My theory is that it's all noise to make us happier about the Texas Bowl with its sucky date. We'll see come Sunday.
If the Texas Bowl is born out, I'll probably also give more credence to guys like Brett McMurphy being tied in to all facets of college football.

I want to see us play the highest ranked team available. Right now that looks like Wake in the Gator Bowl.

Okay, I was wrong.

Brett McMurphy and CollegeFootballNews both updated their predictions in the last 12 hours to move us to the Liberty Bowl. I expect Brett is one of the most tied-in sources on this subject, so this may be an indication that our State media sources are not being fed bull.

The Liberty wants us bad. I heard they were going to turn us in as their first choice to the SEC office.

I don’t know if we’ve had an official “state of the conference” lately regarding win totals, but this is the current state of things:

Alabama - 11
Arkansas - 8
Auburn - 6
Florida - 6
Georgia - 12
Kentucky - 9
LSU - 6
Mississippi State - 7
Missouri - 6
North Mississippi - 10
South Carolina - 6
Tennessee - 7
Texas A&M - 8
Vanderbilt - 2

The SEC managed to get 13 bowl eligible teams this year.

Lots of smoke around us playing Texas Tech in Memphis. Apparently LSU getting bowl eligible may have moved us out of Houston.

I just hope we play somebody we haven't played in a long while. That's what bowls are supposed to be.
