Yep, you would have to give Monte a lot of credit on plate discipline and contact, it's just better than we've seen with any Kingston team. Also, we bunted the ball exceptionally well this weekend, that is coached and you have to work at it! Most of our home runs are power shots that come off the bat and are just driven, we have to give our S&C coach a thumbs up, his work is showing as well! I hope somebody down at the athletic dept. is paying attention and can sweeten the pot for Monte or he is surely a one and done coach!
They have struggled, but I would suggest that they are better than they look at the moment. Their SOS is high. They are 12-8. They have been close in many of those losses. If they had pulled out just two more wins at this point, we'd be having a different conversation. Getting swept by UCF, a quality opponent, really hurt them.
If we don't win games, it won't matter, but if we win games now (sec play) the rpi will stay up!⚾️
