Saw he named pac 12 freshman of the year. Pretty crazy that Montgomery and Hines were on the same high school team.

That team had a boatload of studs and won a state and national championship. Arguably the best high school baseball team in MS history and Braden and Hunter had great years.

Ranked 23rd national last year. What’s the deal with him? I imagine turning down a Stanford education is the answer, but he had to be a pretty big draft risk as well. Just never interested in State?

I asked that question last year on here and someone said he/family wanted Stanford education. Apparently one or both parents are doctors.

Good for him. If I had a kid with the same opportunities I can’t say Id do anything different.

They live in my neighborhood. Mom runs the emergency

Room for St D and dad was a professional athlete I believe, they are divorced. I think they are from the Midwest, Iowa maybe. I think she has four kids and they are all top notch.

"Braden."

That's a . . . difficult name.

Oh well . . . look on the bright side, his mother could have wanted to name him "Sebastian."

He had a 33 on the ACT. The Moffett kid is this year's version. He's got a 30+ but going to LSU for free (if not drafted high enough).

Stanford is a world class academic institution that takes college athletics seriously.

As I’ve mentioned before, I worked there briefly. And interacting with the folks there, they’re really amazing people.

Jeffrey Hammonds - I chatted with him once at a tailgate before a Stanford football game - but he struck me as an extremely cool guy.
