College baseball coach is the toughest job to me, especially building a roster. It's almost like diminishing returns. You recruit the top flight kids and the pros are almost sure to pluck them off. Most will never enroll when the big $$$ are flashed. Now in addition your opponents can flash big $$$ and get him in the portal and steal him. Wish the NCAA nincompoops would reverse themselves since the amature status is shot to sh**. It's been a joke and now it's completely out in the open, so when a kid bums out of pro ball after a couple of years of flaying at curves and sliders let him come to college and play.
