....Scott Ross to lead the search committee.

Does that also read like Aubrey Patterson will be on the search committee? Is he not a big Ole Miss guy? I may have my Tupelo bankers crossed up, but I could swear he's a big Ole Miss alum/fan. If so, why would he be on our search committee?

MSU and Valley. Most College Board members are on either MSU or Valley's search committee. Also, it gives the Ole Miss alums on the Board experience when Khayat retires and has to be replaced.

And there's nothing wrong at all with him being on the search committee. Considering that Valley is also looking for a president as previously mentioned, most of the College Board members are serving on presidential search committees.

Robin Robinson graduated from USM.

You have 3 MSU folks (Ross, Blakeslee, and Smith), one UM (Patterson) and one USM (Robinson). Oh yea, and of course Tom Meridith is in charge, so anything this committee wants will be whatever Tom tells them to do.
