After reading Veazey's Blog about Brandon McRae, it got me thinking.

My choice is Tay Bowser. For some reason, I actually see him doing well.

Please save this thread somewhere. I am going to go with K.J. Wright.

Other options:
Rockin' tha Deuce
Co-Eric
O'Neal "Girls Gone" Wilder
Brignone
Some obscure TE, Green maybe?
We better hope one of our DE's - Cooper, Bailey - I just dont see it.

only because of his nickname. He and K-Veazey may be brothers? Can anyone list the nicknames MSU players refer to each other as?

I think Co-Eric has a breakout year....mostly because his name is Co-Eric.

He hasn't done near what he's capable of.

I also think Co-Eric Riley will be much improved, which in turn will help Carroll.

We all better hope. The only reason we didn't have a 2-3 win season last year was a defense that created turnovers. Our DL was outstanding and we had one of the better DE's in the league. If our offense doesn't immediately look light years ahead of last year, we better hope for a breakout year from multiple DL players.

Offense: Carroll- if we try to use the spread offense a little this year.
Defense: Keith Fitzhugh - he will be hell on wheels his last year.
Special Teams: Eric Richards-(if he is still on team) if he can boot half of his kicks for touchbacks then he wins

Tim Bailey: I played high school football with Timmy, so i would try to watch him on defense. Early in the season he was not effective at DE(after being switched from LB), but I noticed he played significantly better towards the end of the season. I think he will be a good defensive end. No, he will not be a Titus Brown, but he will not be the weak link.

I think that the play of washington at CB is the key concern of the defense right now.

Offense: Co-Eric Riley. I think he finally has his head screwed on right based on his LB performance.

Offensive line: Derrick Sherrod. He played well in a reserve role, and know he's thrown into the LT spot because of Mike Brown, but I think he's up to the task.

Defense: Jimmy Holmes. He was overshadowed by Titus Brown and Avery Hannibal, but he'll get a chance to start now, and I really think he could become a big time DE.

Special Teams: Adam Carlson. I think kicking the GW FG against Ole Miss has given him a lot of confidence, plus he's a senior, he went 8/12 or something like that on FG's last year, and now he doesn't have to worry about KO's with Eric Richards taking over.

I have no faith in Bowser...almost every deep pass I saw attempted us on last season was to him and he was generally burned by about 3 yards on all of them. The OM guys got behind him all game - thank God Brent couldn't hit them.

My takes:

Offense: hardest one but I hold out hope for Marcus Green. He could be a very good receiving TE if we ever choose to use that position in the passing game.

Defense: Kyle Love - he's been ok, but I think he could be a very solid DT for us this year

ST: I expect to see Elliott or Bonner do some nice jobs on KR this year

but I'm thinking that he won't play much being a back-up QB. It could be bad in the sense that it may mean that Carroll's hurt, which I certainly hope doesn't happen.

He didn't look all that great in the spring scrimmage, but that was just one time. He may very well be better than that, he'll have to prove it to me on the field.

He didn't play that much last year, but at times he played well. Other than the Tulane game I cannot remember him betting beat. On the othere hand Washington got beat a ton, in fact it wasn't until Oquinn came on that we really started shutting some folks down
