LSU has proven themselves to be brain dead nuts. Orgeron walks away Scot free with $16.8 million. Now, Kelly’s buyout guarantees him no less than $86 million (maybe more depending on a couple of incentives like a National Championship)on a yearly reducing basis over 10 years if LSU wants to dump him down the road. Crazy money to be paying out for a non-academic related reason.

Of course, most of that money is probably coming from that questionable Tiger Athletic Foundation they have down there.

Agreed, but this is step beyond losing a "g" at the end of verbs or relaxing your diction.

Did he plan to keep that up every day during his tenure? That would be Elizabeth Holmes sociopath territory.

LOL But people are wigging because they felt Kelly was talking "southern" in Baton Rouge? Personally, I couldn't care less. About how any of them - politicians, whores, or football coaches - talk or behave in order to ingratiate themselves. I am not among those who are paying them, voting for them, or worshipping them. So why would I?
I find it disgusting, but I don't care, I really don't (and those are two very different things).

What you think that has to do with "black or white" - "or "northern or southern" or whatever? I have no idea (and probably don't care to know)

Really? Hmmm…I’m from Jersey, lived in North Carolina for 30 years, and still don’t have a southern accent. Heck, I’ve never even said y’all, let alone all y’all. Bless my heart.

I've lived in the south for 26 years. I don't think I have a southern accent, but I've definitely been known to say y'all and even all y'all on occasion. It just seems to fairly slip off the tongue. My grandmother used to say you'uns in a similar fashion which I think is also easy to fall back on if you've got Pennsylvania Dutch roots.

Neither am I. For the record, I was simply trying to be funny by ending my “I don’t speak southern” post with one of the most common southern sayings. I’ll stop now.

If I spend more than a few days back in NEPA, the accent starts to come back, even one or two odd ball words and pronunciations. The make-up of the NOVA population prevents any sort of regional accent, so after 30+ years, I normally have about as much of an accent as a network news reader. Kelly may want to work on his canjun accent if he really wants to fit in.

I've been in North Carolina for nine years, and people up north have noticed I've dropped the "o" in Carolina ("Care-lina"). I also say "Durm" instead of Durham, but that's probably from growing up in Pa. within an hour of "Balimer."

i haven’t lived in PA for 3 decades but still say Lank-kiss-ter. I have dropped the ‘r’ in warsh though.
