This is great. Apparently the kid was supposed to be in the corner, BB goes onto the court to push him that way. Notice him just kind of swat BB away. How freaking embarrassing.

I'd have sat that player's butt on the bench.

It's apparent from the start of the clip that Brownell is trying to tell him where he needs to be but the player is either not paying attention or doesn't hear, so Brownell pushes him in the direction he needs to go.

Not a Clemson fan but this is great. I don't think it's at all embarrassing unless you are part of the woke crowd.
I feel like doing it in the middle of play was a little out of control. His presser after the game was pretty odd too. He was calling every player out by name, like he shares no responsibility for how the team plays. He’s falling apart.

A little bench time might get his attention. I’m thinking that may have been the transfer from Syracuse. Don’t remember the name. Not a good look though.

He was certainly a bit out of control but I like to see emotion out of a coach once in awhile. Remember when Holtz grabbed our players face mask? I thought that was great. Out of control? Yes.

All that said, B.B. deserved to be T'd up. It's certainly against the rules to do what he did during the game.

I didn't hear his presser.

A coach should not be on the court when the ball is in play. The coach can sit on the bench or stand up and walk down the line but not CROSS THE LINE. That's not woke whatever the hell that is. Hate folks who make up labels and divide us.

Very woke to suggest it's an issue because he touched his player. Read my second post. He should have been t'd up. Every basketball coach coach CROSSES THE LINE!

I'm suggesting it's woke if you have a problem with a coach touching a player. If you are complaining that he broke a rule by physically crossing a line, I agree. But as mentioned, all coaches cross that line.

EVERY coach crosses the line during a game.

This is just another rule the refs seem to be totally disinterested in enforcing. Coaches should not be on the court of play. Period. And to have contact with a player on the court during play???? Should have been an immediate technical foul on the coach. No question.

The worst offender on this in the NCAA is Kim Mulkey. She is literally in the court of play during play the ENTIRE game.

It's very similar to the speading rule. It's a guidance rule. 95% of people break it. If abused, you'll eventually get caught if you get the wrong cop on the wrong day.

These kids are just not exposed to physical discipline. They just aren't. That is the fastest way in these days that you can lose your job. Now, it can be argued that it should not be that way, but it is.

Didn't have a problem with him touching the player. During the play was pretty wild to me.

I think the thing of note here, is not what Brownell did. That's a relatively minor issue.

The main thing is how the player seemed to wave him off afterward. Brownell had obviously been telling him where he needed to go. Was the player ignoring him? Hard to imagine he didn't hear Brownell from that close.

You don't see coach physically trying to move players around every day. But I think you're right...might be an underlying issue with the way the player swatted the HC off like gnat.

This is where the concern lies with Clemson fans that it's a sign Brownell has lost the team. I don't know why really. They have lost 3 conference games in a row by double digits, but one was to UNC and losing to UNC is just what Clemson has historically done.

Their expectations were high. They were expected to contend for the ACC title. This was supposed to be the most talented team they've ever had. Looks like more of the same.

Then their coached should have called a timeout and benched him. You don't put your hands on people. Period.

Really! Woke? Do you even know the definition of woke? A term you heard in a partisan, ultra conservative forum and now you use it in every situation! Ridiculous. A mind is a terrible thing to waste!

Typical entitled Clempson coach who thinks he can do anything he wants!! Should’ve been a tec and a fine or suspension by the ACC. But they are in a wus conference so that stupid behavior is normal!!
