I know the NFL is built to protect QB's now.. but man, that's short and skinny when pro DE's are chasing you.

He probably played touch in Hawaii…..showed out in 7on7’s…..then played behind a WALL at Alabama……Tua was sacked only 5 times in two years or something crazy…

Kyler is a Shortstop/CF, all world athlete….maybe that’s what it takes at that size…

Tua wouldn’t have started for as many colleges as we think…He’s Built for flag football

Are you saying Tua is successful or that Tua is a prime example of a smaller QB that gets injured?
Tua’s combine measurements were 6’0” and 217 lbs. If Bryce doesn’t get drafted to a team with a solid OL, I predict he will have a similar fate as his Tide brethren.

Protecting QBs or not, the hits will hurt the same flag or no flag. And I don’t believe Tua’s hits even got a flag?

I'm sure he will be pretty good. Been healthy so far in the SEC for the most part. I see plenty of people talking about Will being small and I always think bigger than Tua Bryce and Kyler. Same size as Corral. Personally if I was making the call with my job on the line I would go for a larger QB but that's just me.

Being a small qb that's mobile but not kyler mobile is not great for an nfl career unless you can dodge in the pocket and get rid of it quickly.

No. He's too small and not quick enough to avoid big hits. He'll get killed. (my opinion)

Exactly 🤢🤢

I think weight is more of factor than height and I’m assuming what the OP was referring. Dangeruss is 5’11” but nobody is questioning his ability to take (or give) a hit.

Admittedly I haven’t studied the male physique as much as some but to my eye Young is even more slender than Tua.
And even then, all it took was one Kamala Splash at DWS to nearly end Tua’s football career.
Tua’s injuries usually happen on plays when he tries to extend the play. His hip injury in Starkville was him scrambling trying to let receivers get open and same with his concussion against Cincinnati. If he will realize he’s not mahomes or Josh Allen, I think he can stay around in the NFL.

^^^^This. He also has one of the weakest arms in the NFL, so he tends to wait too long on guys to separate so he doesn’t have to throw fastballs into tight windows. Not sure where Young stacks up there, but he’s also had the occasional propensity to hold the ball too long at Bama.

He will have some challenges in the NFL for sure, but he will be drafted and get a shot cuz he plays at Bammer and gets a lot of CBS exposure.

He could be Kyler 2.0.

I’m honestly not sure if Kyler is good or not.

Kyler is a Top 10-12 NFL QB by every objective criteria there is. His QBR finish relative to other starters in the league each year has been 13, 12, 7 (average of 12th) and he’s currently 13th this year so far.

Not sure whether you consider that “good” or not, but if you’re a QB-needy NFL team picking in the first round, and you could theoretically guarantee that level of production at a minimum for 5+ years from a player on the board, you’re taking that player every time.
