I just moved home to Madison from Starkville for the summer, and I couldn't help but notice the amount of these bumper stickers while driving around the Madison area today. I had seen a few in Starkville, but I was pretty impressed. I think it goes to show the potential we have with Greg Byrne at the helm. It's an incredibly simple idea, but the stickers are noticeable and they get our name and logo out to the general public. Byrne knows how to market, and I'm sure we will see a lot of more of this type of stuff in the future.

I've had them for the last few years. Don't think I have seen my 2008 sticker yet.

I had never seen any before this spring (or maybe they just changed the sticker up this year), so I figured it was something Byrne implemented. Doesn't seem like anything that would have ever crossed LT's mind.

The Bulldog Club has been giving out window decals for at least 17 years.

Think he's referring to the new ones with "scholarship donor" on them, and I like em better, too.

If I had a nickel for every "Tide Pride" front plate I see in Birmingham, I'd have a **** load of nickels.

But, at the same time, they are easily recognizable, and do make an impression.

I suggested we offer (for purchase, of course) BC plates, polos, huggies, and **** like that.

His response was "Appreciate the comments but we have not had a lot of demand for that right now. We will ask some of our peers if they are doing that when we get a chance."

So, that's that.

But, I wouldn't mind looking like a dipshit sporting my BC polo with my BC beer huggie on gameday. I think we'd have a lot of others that would do that as well.
