allow the rebels to tie it up and go on to win it in the 10th. The legend of Bunky Kaeton lives on.

To be fair, Bunky's error didn't cost them the game. There was a man on 2nd with 1 down. He made a poor throw allowing the runner to reach, so it was 1st and 2nd with 1 down. If he makes a good play, there is still a man on second and 2 down, and Power's single still would've tied the game.

then there is 2 down with a runner on second and he is playing at normal depth where at the very least he probably could have knocked down Power's hit, saving the run.

The angriest I've ever seen Polk was during Bunky's Freshman year against Auburn. We were coming back and were way down. We had a big rally going and Bunky hit a single that brought the game within one run and would have put the tying run on third. The Bunkster tries to stretch the single out into a double and gets thrown out at second, ending the game.

Polk just turned and walked away, but you could tell he was pissed.

I think that was defining moment in the career of Bunky Kateon. It was all downhill from there.

The days of Bunky Kateon and Michael "Double Pump ...... no, no ........ Triple Pump Every Throw" Rutledge.

Bunky couldn't field the ball and Rutledge couldn't throw it. If a Kateon and a Rutledge ever reproduce, they might have the perfect baseball player as offspring.
