just had to wait on some official legal type stuff to go through. Our budget projection is going to be up 4 to 5 mil this year compared to last. What I'm interested in finding out is what's the deal with this new media rights stuff? I keep hearing alot of new found cash is coming from that. Also a departure from Telesouth as far as our radio coverage is concerned?
The probation money is money that's due to the athletics department, so I doubt that's budgeted towards the majority of Croom's salary. He's getting $250,000 from the state.
The question is how much of the assistants' salaries are picked up by the Bulldog Foundation. If not much, then I can see the probation money going to the assistants.

The only reason that we increased Croom's salary by that much was because of the market in the SEC for football coaches. Everyone else has had to increase their coaches salaries because of Saban.

if he's fired, he'll be entitled to receive his annual salary for each year left on the contract.
when has that happened though? admittedly, i haven't paid much attention, but i'd be surprised if it was common for a coach to agree to take less than he's legally due under a contract.
