If he loses to Michigan 4 years in a row, he will be in trouble. A significant portion of their fan base wanted to lose the 1 st round game so they could fire him. It was a big enough portion that the WSJ did an article on it. But then you know more about Ohio State than them and the actual OSU fans interviewed do I’m sure.
Maybe so, but rivalries matter in college sports, a lot. Anyone that refuses to acknowledge that is not living in reality.

Before it. The fans quoted specifically stated they would rather beat Michigan than win the national title. I'm sure you know more than actual Ohio State fans who were willing to be quoted by name in a national publication though.
