For some historical perspective, MSU has not scored a TD at all in 5 of the last 10 home games against Bama, dating all the way back to 2003. In 4 of the 5 games we did score a TD, it was only 1 TD. Only in 2017 did we score multiple offensive TD’s at home during that stretch.
Passing wise, every offensive TD that MSU has scored against Bama at home since 2003 has been on the ground, except one - a Tyler Russell TD pass to Chris Smith in 2011. In fact, MSU has not thrown a TD pass against Alabama at all since Dak hit Jameon Lewis for a garbage time TD in 2014. 8 straight games without a passing TD, which is pretty incredible (in a bad way). Since that 2014 Dak TD pass, we have 220 TD passes against teams not named Alabama.
