After and embarrassing loss to MSU, in Knoxville no less, Fulmer is canned. Adding to this, Croom and the MSU team will have gained enough creditability at that point that they are not taken for granted by any team or fan base...at least not to the point where they can point at an MSU loss as the determining factor when firing head coaches.

Being Croomed has ended, with our 8-5 season last year. We are now, even if we don't have as a good a year this year, a viable threat for beating teams.

They may fire Fulmer (personally I don't think they will period), but it won't directly be attributable to us beating them, even if we do beat TN.</p>

The last coach to ever be Croomed was Orgeron.

Losing to us now is not unthinkable. (at least I don't think it should be)

We might beat them, and Fulmer might get fired, but it won't be because MSU beat them. Plus, I agree with porkchop, the term is no longer valid.

Buy, IF TN is having a bad year and IF we beat them in Neyland, then yes, I think the deal will be sealed. I see neither happening though.

You might have a shot at winning at Starkville, but probably not at Knoxville. Plus, you are correct that last season made it impossible to get "Croomed" any more. People give Fulmer hell but I always thought he was a pretty good coach. Good overall record, some SEC championships, a national championship, and in general he makes a lot more money than most of the really fat guys I know.
