and sitting your proven starter was the worst coaching blunder made yet in Croom's tenure.

I think if Carroll had played the 2nd quarter, the game probably would have been put out of reach.

Had Croom stuck with Carroll for the whole game despite the bad picks, people would have been complaining that he didn't give Lee a chance and just stuck with Carroll like he did Henig for too long.

The reason is Carroll was the starting QB for most of the 8 wins we had last year. He led our team in final drives @ Auburn and in the Liberty Bowl. Croom was putting Lee in the game in a situation that Carroll did well in last year. Carroll can have a nice drive down the field, get his arm hit and throw a pick and gets pulled. Henig can crow hop like a center fielder and throw 6 picks to LSU and stays in the game. He also cries on the sidelines.

It was a huge mistake by Croom.

Was Brittany going bloomerless her most stupid blunder?

How the hell can we measure or even differentiate the depths of this incompetent fool's alleged coaching blunders?

But Carroll should have been playing for sure. Croom realizes this now. That L sure does hurt.

No way that Lee should have even been on the field on Sat. On the other hand, Croom has somehow made the back-up QB the most unpopular guy on campus while making the starter look good. How many times does that happen?

When you are playing to not lose your job, you will lose your job. If Wes had been handed the reigns and told to lead the team, we would've seen a much different qb. Now his confidence appears shaken and it could be too late.

Put "Tyson Lee" in the search feature. Hindsight is 20/20. See what people thought before the game. Lots of posters wanted to see the guy in the game. Some thought it was stupid to suggest sitting Carroll.

When everyone was saying they may rotate, I couldn't help but wonder why a walkon would rotate with the guy who brought you success for the first time in almost a decade. I understand he isn't a "go to guy", but you've known that since he arrived. You just needed someone to mange the game and hand off.

...and I'll say push. I can't think of any worse, but not running the ball in the second half was at least the equivalent.

one on 3rd down when we were in FG range and he's not the goat. I don't understand. Once again we are left with erratic QB play no matter who it is. We have a suspect Oline. This reminds me of 2004-06.

....1) We moved the ball with him. He completed 2 more passes than Lee, and had almost 7 more yards. His efficiency wasn't as good, but we covered more ground with Carroll.

.....2) Carroll quarterbacked us on game winning drives 3 times that I can remember last year - Auburn, Ole Miss, and UCF. He struggled in parts of all of those games but he had enough poise to get us where we needed to go.

.....3) Lee had no pocked presence and looked like a deer in the headlights. He would take a crucial sack on one play, then not stay in the pocked long enough on another play. In other words, he looked like a freaking rookie, which is to be expected. He actually looked pretty good for a rookie. But it is ABSOLUTELY foolish to ask a qb in his first collegiate game to lead an offense down the field for the game winning drive if you don't have to.

If Carroll had played better in the 1st half, we would've been winning big. He held the ball too damn long on the first INT, causing him to get hit while throwing. The 2nd pick shoud've been either a big gain or a TD. Other passes he just plain missed open guys. And of course his 3rd pick was the backbreaker. If he hadn't been pulled you guys would've been killing Croom for staying with him despite how much he was sucking.

Double buy. To me this is far and away the worst decision he has ever made. A two-quarterback system ... with a walk-on quarterback ... who played the entire 4th quarter ... with the game on the line. Wow.
