I'll buy this one...because I've already made the prediction that Bama will beat Clemson. In my eyes there are only 2 other games that could foul this up, those being OM/Memphis and Kentucky/Louisville.

Sell - Vandy won, so that means someone else screw up. Given our history, it will be us.

I think Kentucky pulls the upset and Saban shows Clemson they are overrated when you give him 6 months to prepare

Obviously Vandy and SC are in the books as Ws, so that's a 2-0 start. That leaves 10 other games that have to go the SEC's way. Even with a really easy slate, that would be a tough buy.

Looking at the list, though these should be the sure wins:
LSU over App. State
Florida over Hawaii
Georgia over Georgia Southern
Auburn over ULM
Arkansas over Western Illinois

Those are all either games against 1-AA teams or lines of 25+ points.

The other 5 games are:
MSU - La. Tech
Memphis - Ole Miss
Alabama - Clemson
Kentucky - Louisville
UCLA - Tennessee

The biggest favorites in that group are MSU and Ole Miss, both at around 8 points. None of those games are locks. With 5 games that could go either way, I have a hard time buying a 12-0 weekend. I'm betting on 10-2.

and Ellis Johnson was the only reason our defense got any interceptions, fumble recoveries or tackles last year. This year, our defense will just stand there with a puzzlied look on their face as the LaTech player next to them catches the ball.

I don't see how that guy (Ellis Johnson) isn't the head coach of the Patriots by now. Surely everyone else can see what coach34 does, that he is the second coming of Buddy Ryan and that our defense will go from top 25 to bottom 25 without him.

You're really a 'the-glass-is-half-full' kinda guy, aren't you? Are you sure you're actually a fan of this team? I'm just sayin...

that he didn't take my post literally. If he did, he needs a sarcasm detector and most likely a lot of other help.

FWIW I am the guy who predicted we would go 7-5 last year (and also picked every W/L right except for having Auburn/UT backwards). When it comes to MSU football I am a glass totally full kinda guy. I just like agreeing with coach34 in a completely sarcastic way.
