He has allowed ZERO earned runs. He is clearly the MVP in the State of Mississippi.

I said bittle was the best last weekend, but I really can't tell. AW is a stud. Id be surprised if the guy from USM with all the saves was anywhere near as good as they are. From what ive seen Bittle and AW are clearly the 2 best baseball players in this state.

He may be the best player in the state, but he's only got 2 wins and 4 saves and he's only pitched 21 innings. Like I said, not his fault, but I just don't think those are Boo Ferris winning stats.

Weatherford- 2-0 5 SV 22.2 IP 5H 0ER 7BB 46K OBA .069 ERA- 0.00

Bittle- 4-1 7 SV 50.2 IP 19H 9ER 20 BB 92K OBA .114 ERA- 1.60

You could make an argument for either one but it damn sure should go to one of the two and not some other clown. To absolutely shut down SEC bats like Weatherford and Bittle have this year is pretty unheard of.

The USM pitcher has more saves than Weatherford and Bittle combined (15), a 0.61 ERA and, according to Boyd's ISR, USM has played a tougher schedule than either MSU or UM. I'm not saying he's necessarily better than either Weatherford or Bittle, but he's having a damn good season. And USM's the only school in the state with a prayer of hosting.

Biased Buy:

I think any of the players mentioned are really deserving. The thing about saves is that they are at least in part based on how well your team does.

It's not Weatherford's fault that we suck. At the same time Conn shouldn't necessarily be penalized for his team being good. I have seen all pitch either in person or on TV and I would say Weatherford is the most dominant of the three.

Lance Lynn is probably a shoe in to be a first round pick, but Barry Bowden has had a great year for USM as well.

At DSU, Ricky Noland and Clay Sartain and Chris Clark are all hitting over .400 and Korey Cunningham is 9-1 for them with an ERA of 2.12.

Also, I think Cody Overbeck deserves mention. If Tyler Moore stays hot, he could be in the discussion.

I went with Weatherford because I know that scouts have a say.

program this year has caused me to miss how dominant Weatherford has been. ****. 46k's in 22.2ip's? .o69 OBA; 0.00 ERA. That is 17'ing sick.
