I believe at 7-4, we go a different direction pitching wise and they tighten up. That is a hindsight comment, but I said the exact thing to my son when Collins came up after Brownlee's hit. Well actually, I said" I hate that this guy is up in an RBI situation. He just has not come through here late in the season.
I hate it for him. He puts the ball in play and got hits with nobody on or a runner on first. But when we needed one more clutch hit, he just didn't get it done. I think that would have been a dagger. Hindsight is 20/20.
But I'll play: Soft buy if they had been pitching a lot this season. Norris had not pitched much since regular season ended, so he was unfortunately the wrong guy. But heck...we move on to next year for baseball. And next year starts right now with recruiting. Hopefully Cohen stayed in Florida to watch some summer ball.....
