Looking forward to next years football, my question for the board is this:

Next year's defense will be the best defense Croom has fielded so far.

I'll buy. I really liked the way our defense was aggressive this past year, but we totally have the ability with all of our returning starters to be better. I think what we need to find is two defensive ends and we will be really good on defense.

they were the sole reason last year that we had an above average season. If our defense would have made just 5 fewer plays, we lose to ole miss, alabama, and auburn, and we are right back at the bottom of the west. I don't see our defense being as clutch this season because I'm not sure we are going to be able to pressure the quarterback with our front four like we were able to last season. You are right though, because if we do get some defensive ends to step up, then we could be better.

Sell because we have an inexperienced D-coordinator. We also will be without AJ, who may be/have been the best corner we've had since Smoot. I do think that we will be OK, but probably not as good as last year.

before AJ dropped out of school, but losing an ALL SEC corner makes a huge difference. We now have to count on Marcus Washington. That's not good.
