Bring him back Packers. Of course I'm a packers fan so I will always want him to stay in Green Bay. It would look to weird for him to play for somebody else.

I predict he will end his career where it started, in Atlanta. It will be painful to watch ie. Montana in KC.

Buy for sure. His "I might retire/I might play" act is well past old. Just retire, ride into the sunset, and be done with it.

I hate the coming out of retirement crap by the superstars. It rarely works out and it can affect their legacy.

Thread Hijack: Bill Clinton even tried to come out of retirement through his wife.

Which one do you think is smarter? Favre or Bradshaw.

By the way, buy. Our last memory of Favre playnig doesn't need to be like that.

coming out of retirement isn't always so bad. Look at Herman Munster! He went MIA for a few decades and then he came right back on top with some big hits before he went to that big munster mansion in the sky.

Brett Favre showed his age in that championship game last year. Even with Favre, the Packers were the youngest team in the NFL. He needs to step aside, and let Adrian Rodgers take over. In the NFL, youth and speed beat age and experience in the playoffs. We saw it in the NFC championship game, and we saw it in the Super Bowl. Adrian Rodgers knows the offense, did a good job relieving Favre in last year's Dallas game, and has been taking all the snaps in mini-camp this spring.

Even if Rodgers isn't as good as Favre, we've seen that you don't need a great QB to win championships (Brad Johnson with Tampon Bay, Trent Dilfer with Baltimore, Joe Theisman, Doug Williams, and Doug Rypien with Washington, and Eli Manning with the Giants). Even John Elway and Peyton Manning needed strong running games and defense to get their rings.

and they've already planned for his retirement. He had a great year last year, but the trend late in his career up until then was bad. He's another year older now, and at his age you can lose it at any time. I know it was only one game and the conditions were awful, but he looked terrible in the NFL championship game. Eli on the other hand, looked really good.

If Favre took a job as a studio analyst, would he first have to learn how to suck his own dick to be qualified for the job?

He can still play. They can make another serious run with him if things fall into place. I think the best case for Rodgers is battling Minnesota just to win the North and make the playoffs.

I don't think I'd want Favre to be teaching my young QB. People often fall into the trap of thinking that just because someone excels at something means they would automatically be good at teaching it to someone else. Favre wasn't as good as he was by being a great decision maker, which is the type of older QB you'd want teaching your young QB.

Favre has too much ego to help tutor a young quarterback. How many good Quarterbacks did Green Bay trade or release during Favre's tenure (Mark Brunell, Kurt Warner, Aaron Brooks when he was considered to have some upside)? Now if you want to help teach a QB, get someone who's unselfish, a Steve DeBerg type (he was the QB who preceded both Joe Montana AND John Elway). Kurt Warner would be a good one. Maybe Trent Dilfer.
