I know most of you have your jerseys hanging in the rafters somewhere, so I know this is the perfect place to ask this question...

At what point is a batter "who he is"?

How long do you let someone swing their way out of a hole?

Half of our lineup is batting under the Mendoza line.

Do you pull someone after 30 ABs? 50 ABs? 75 ABs?

I totally understand this question has nuance. I wouldn't expect a freshmens like Cupp to come out of the gate batting .333. I realize you have to look at their previous track record as well. I understand you have consider their defense too.

The problem with pulling a guy is that someone has to take their place. It's not like we have a bench loaded with good bats. At some point you do have to at least try something else regardless, but with only a 5 game sample size, it might be better to get our "best" guys more ABs and hopefully get things right.

I get that. You're telling me we have 4 people that can hit? Oh boy.
