Growing up in Anderson, I don't think we ever had a white Christmas, but we did get snow earlier in December during the Christmas season once. It happened to be on the weekend when we went to the Christmas tree lot to pick and cut down a tree, so that was a Norman Rockwell kind of Christmas moment for us.

Now that we live in Montana, a white Christmas is routine. It may not actually snow on Christmas day, but snow will certainly be on the ground. This year, we're headed down to Cajun country in Louisiana to spend Christmas with my wife's people, so we won't see any snow unless something goes dreadfully wrong. I'm packing my golf clubs, so I'm a little disappointed about the cold weather predicted for the few days before Christmas, but I think we'll be able to squeeze some in at some point in the trip. Where there's a will, there's a way and my will is strong.

I had 11 inches of snow in my yard in Mt Pleasant SC three months and one day after Hugo Hit on 9/21/89. Started snowing late 12/22/89 and snowed for a day and a half. A very White Christmas that year, and this area deserved it after being devastated by the hurricane!!

You'll see some snow tonight............in Buffalo. Nothing like a December night game in Green Bay or Buffalo.

The NLF could care less about the fans having to sit in that. They could at least schedule these games in the afternoon.

Of a winter storm around Christmas.
I HATE the cold, but it might be nice for a white Christmas.
Iva, remind me when a weather man called it right?

Or as Ole Diz once said famously, (paraphrasing), “go to your window and stick your head out.”

I picked one hell of time to bring a new puppy home.
Last week it rained here (Atlanta area) 2 days, all day. Staying inside with puppy energy is exhausting.
Now brutal cold this weekend. Low's below the teens. Will probably have to buy a sweater/jacket. She's just 13 weeks old.

When we flew out of Bozeman yesterday afternoon, it was -5. The temp at the house is now -16 and the NWS is forecasting a low of -40 tomorrow morning and a -high- tomorrow of -16 tomorrow afternoon. That isn't windchill or "real feel" temps, but actual air temps. Looks like we picked the right time to spend Christmas in Louisiana and, in this instance, I won't be disappointed that I'm missing a white Christmas.

That’s like spending a typical winter day in Fairbanks 😉
