I looked thru the first 2 pages of the board and only saw one thread about Cameron committing (from Saddawg), but most of the responses in the thread didn't even realize that the post was about Lawrence & not Hollingsworth.

So, first of all, I see that he is projected as a safety by Scout. However here are his stats from 2006 (didn't see 2007 anywhere). Why would we take a guy like this & automatically project him as a safety? He is bigger than any QB we have except Relf and easily as fast as Carroll if not faster. Anyone have any first hand impressions on Lawrence? Any chance he gets a real shot at QB? Any chance he could play QB in the SEC? (All those questions are based on the assumption that we don't get any higher profile QBs in this class or the next 2 or 3, which is probably a reasonably safe assumption.)

of an option QB. Now if we run some spread option he MIGHT would have a chance at QB. He is a pretty good athlete. He impressed alot of folks at State's camp. Including some public school coaches. His arm is no worse than Carroll's.

is kind of a white Pat White type of QB?

/not making a next "Favre" type comparison to talent level/ability between Lawrence & Pat White, just looking for a comparison in general type of offensive style.

one of my clients is a coach at magnolia heights (where cameron plays) and he says Cameron is a stud and will be a damn good safety and can basically play multiple positions. Also this coach is a big ole miss fan, and knew a year ago we had him locked up. That's why we offered Addison, according to him.
