Can someone tell me why Beamer has not offered Troy Stevenson, the 4* CB from Charleston?

He has huge offers from some big heavyweights around the country, but not Carolina. What's up with that?

That is perplexing. Unless there's a problem with the kid, we need to go hard after in-state talent. No doubt, everyone associated with his HS program, including his coach, notices that we haven't offered him yet.

I trust Beamer's filtering of intangibles for recruits, regardless of the number of stars the player has!

Give the staff a chance. They likely have not met with the individual in person. Camps are approaching and he will likely get a look. Sometimes when you get school that is new to the scene like Phillip Simmons, the athlete will get slow played in the process.

It has been reported that Beamer & Staff feel that Stevenson is physically not tall and big enough to play at the SEC level. Think of him as Jamyest Williams Version 2.0 otherwise USC would be recruiting him hard at this point.

That is a bit perplexing considering this Sports Illustrated article says that he is a priority. Sure, it is a March 2022 article, but I wouldn't be surprised if he still were not very much on their radar. I'll take a wait and see approach on this one. I find it extremely difficult to believe that Beamer & Staff feel he is undersized when the kid has offers from Tennessee, Notre Dame, Penn State, Michigan State, LSU, and Washington.
