Can we outscore La Tech? That's going to be the big question

I noticed Frank Scelfo is the OC - he runs somewhat of a spread attack on offense right?

Goodness, i don't like this game at all.

and tire them out by the 2nd half.

I'm worried about this game as well, not because of who or where it is, just because I always worry about the next game with Miss. State.

is them loading the box on us to start the game, we are stubborn as usual, and bog down in the 1st quarter. Then, they hit a big play, get a turnover, and score again getting a 10-14 point lead. Then suddenly, they are at home, with momentum, and this game becomes the nightmare some of us fear

Your biggest fear in this game is that State might win. There can't be too many folks here that don't know that.

for Christmas is Carroll, on the opening drive, to throw a bomb for 6.

Doesn't LA Tech have a young defense?

I want to see them put eight or nine in the box. That's a direct challenge to Wesley and these receivers. We need to see how our passing game is going to respond early in the contest.

whole team. I am assuming that your offensive unit will have a ways to go, even against LaTech, but I do believe that your defense will score both directly and indirectly (A couple of turnovers and stops inside the red zone.) If your defense can generate a couple of touchdowns and a couple of field goals, you should be set. I agree with Goat that by the end of the game, they will be spent and your actual offense should be able to move the ball at will.

This should be in the win column by the end of the third quarter.

I wouldn't categorize our defense as young. We have plenty of upper classmen leaders. The DL is probably the youngest unit as a whole but is talented compared to years past.

Starters on D:

DE: Fr/Jr
DT: RS Fr/Jr

LB: Sr/Sr/Jr

S: Jr/Sr

CB: Sr/So

We'll rotate plenty at DE but as a unit we are young on DE. The good part about that is Dooley has loaded up on DE's the last two years so we have some talent.

MSU's offense doesn't scare me....the defense does! If we can make it through without a "pick-6" it may be a great contest.

So loading up on 2* DE's = talent.... Well damn we had loads of talent from 2003-2005. I wonder why the hell we couldn't win more than 3 games a year.

The increases at the DE position have been both qualitative and quantitative. Our best two were probably signed this year in Eric Harper and Kwame Jordan. This is in comparison to the past at Tech. We aren't talking SEC talent fo' sho.

We will probably muster-up a rather large number of touchdowns for us: 1

Then top it off with 2 field goals

Then end the night witha goal-line stand in the fourth quarter to keep La Teach from winning

or they will run out of time

or we will run out the clock with an explosive running play of 12 yards or a explosive pass play of 16 yards.

and He is not an M-State fan.

To the LaTech guys, disregard my previous post featuring Derek Pegues. God is laughing at me for even getting excited about football right now.
