You can make as much in NIL as you can in the WNBA. It’s not life changing money. Stay in school with your family. You have the rest of your life to be an adult. The real world can wait. Rookie in WNBA will make 140-160k tops if that. Being a grown up sucks when you first get out of school. Enjoy the ride.

Or you can declare for the draft like we just heard😃

She can’t make any NIL because she is not a US citizen. Coming from other countries prohibits making NIL. It may vary state to state but that’s the deal for now
You're correct or at least mostly correct. This is weak sauce tho. BS restriction of someone's earning power IMO.

"International students’ visas limit them to on-campus and limited off-campus employment at their institution... Accordingly, advice from many athletic departments to international student-athletes has generally been to avoid NIL altogether or participate only if the NIL “work” can be completed entirely in the student-athlete’s home country and the payment can be made and accepted within the home country"

As mentioned earlier she can't benefit from NIL really since she's here on a student visa. I heard rumblings on social media that she has some endorsements in the pipeline but it's all contingent on when she turns pro. It would've been great to have her but I think it's time she move on and take that that next step.

Surely the covid extra year will end soon. I think 4 years playing in a college sport is enough. I think NIL should be tweaked. Surely some changes can be made to it. I feel the longer it continues without any changes…the harder it will be to ever revise it. I think one portal transfer should be the rule. Any more transfers…they should have to stay out a year. (On a side note…are these athletes paying taxes on NIL money?)

While I would love to have her another year, why would she come back? She has accomplished everything a college player can. Projected to be a top pick, 4 or so. Would she improve that status? Maybe, but a big gamble. No NIL money and even if she was eligible, these athletes take the endorsements with them. So much rehashed misinformation about taking pay cuts. Not so. National brand endorsements go with the players, so they're making their NIL money plus the WNBA salary.

She can make NIL money (and I guarantee she does) - there's a pretty easy loophole. With her visa, she just can't make money inside the US. Like physically in the US. However, if she is physically outside the US and tweets, or does a photo shoot, or anything else under an NIL agreement, she can be paid.

I will be so glad when all this Covid year stuff ends. 25 year olds should not be playing college basketball. I recall one tournament game when a 26 year old was playing. 1 more year doesn't mean 3. At some point, you have to accept whether you are a good enough to be a professional at this and move on.

I was struck by how old Mimi Collins looked in the Pack's game against Texas. I don't mean that in a derogatory way. Just saying she looked like a grown woman competing against college kids.

The whole point is she is ready for the WNBA. She’s not going to learn anything else playing college ball. Dawn will re-load and we will move on. I’m sure Dawn is good with her making the jump. I would advise her the go if I was her coach

She will likely take a huge pay cut by going to the WNBA.
Did you read the thread before posting? Cardoso can't earn NIL money like an American player.

Plus, Boston has said there are so many myths about the earning potential of WNBA players. She is not hurting for money.
