Hummm. Wonder why? Still be plenty of very tough competition but I get your drift.

Sidakov has announced he's not appealing and will go MMA. The others are not going **yet**. We'll see if that holds. The IOC and UWW have bent over backward, forward, and sideways for the Russians in the past -- including not punishing them for running a live doping operation while hosting the Sochi Olympics.

If Sadulaev is out, then Snyder is practically guaranteed a medal. He's the 3 seed and will get 2 Tazhudinov in the semis. If he wins, he's in the finals. If he loses, he's automatically into repechage with nobody in the field likely to block him from bronze.

If Sadulaev is reinstated, he's the 7 seed and would face Tazhudinov in the quarters. Winner would get Snyder in the semis -- and if the 2-7 winner loses to Snyder, then the 2-7 loser is out, DNP. If the 2-7 winner makes the finals, then the 2-7 loser would face Snyder in repechage, 1 round before bronze.

The Olympic committees and UWW were paid off by Ruskies. Now, no one wants the rubles.
