it only takes him the entire year to figure out that Crosswhite isn't getting it done on SEC weekends.

Edited to add: Even more classic, it appears according to Paperdog that he isn't starting simply so a senior can draw the start on the last weekend.

Man, Im gonna miss him.

but this statement..
the final weekend of the year
actually made me smile. damn it.

also, very cool of polk to let the seniors start the final weekend. the man can be a looney toon but at least he tries to do the right thing ...or at least what he thinks is the right thing.

The thing that has been pissing me off is that Crosswhite should have never been in a SEC weekend rotation. Lalor should have been given more chances. He pitched decent against Vandy.</p>

would not even make the SEC weekend roster on any other team. They are deplorable.

In conf play, he's thrown 30 inn, given up 53 hits and struck out 12.

That's absolutely pathetic. Some people point to last year as success, and they think he has not fully recovered from the injury at the beginning of the year. I don't have the numbers, but you could definitely tell he got progressively worse throughout last year.

he has a nagging injury, but that's even more reason he should not have been throwing for us.

You are correct SIR. Midway through this season, he should have come to the conclusion that Crosswhite and Whitney could not get anybody out. He should have let our freshmen pitchers, Michael Busby and Forrest Moore, gain valuable experience, pitching in SEC ballparks and use Crosswhite and Whitney in middle relief. But Polk has always sided with upper classmen and he probably believed that Crosswhite and Whitney would come around. I believe that Chad and Tyler are not 100% and should not have been in the rotation at all this year. From what I have heard, they have had either back problems or arm problems from the start of the season. John Lalor should have been one of the weekend starters with Pigott. The other one should have been spread around amongest Bowen, Busby, and F. Moore.
