so from what is understood, men's basketball SID David Rosinski, ticket manager Pat Wallace and game ops Don Edwards have been let go...none of them given reasons from what I hear - just that changes were being made.

Rosinski let go and, from good sources, Stansbury is fighting Byrne to reconsider. Inside story is rather shady as the head guy MIKE NEMETH, apparently has bad blood with Rosinski in the past from both of their days together at South Carolina. Now, with Nemeth elevated to number 2 behind Byrne, there pretty much was no resistance (like there was from Templeton) for Nemeth to get rid of the guy. So, again, personal issues played a part in this and from what I can see, the athletic department continues to be shady.

Pat Wallace given the option to resign, but she declined to they fired her. Don Edwards, same thing. From what I hear, the severance packages were very weak period.

IMO, they are getting rid of the wrong people. Nemeth should have been the first one to go as there has been plenty of issues with his department in the past. The sports information department is very dysfunctional because of his leadership - split into two buildings (Hump/Bryan) with a very visible tension line between the personnel in the two buildings. Rosinki was just the first person Nemeth had a problem with, but I am sure there will be more people not on his "A" list before this is all said and done. That's what happens when you give the wrong man a power trip.

This guy (Nemeth) used to be a CHEERLEADING sponsor for goodness sake and now we're giving him power? Re-damn-diculous. Stricklin has always been in Nemeth's good ole boys network since his days in the MSU sports information office and, low and behold, is now back at MSU in a power position. Amazing how that works.

decisions, go at it. I don't think many other people really care. I know you wont' find much support for Pat Wallace on this board.

I'm sweating these decisions because I think it's the start of something much bigger. To me, the athletic department got shadier with the hiring of this guy - let's put all my friends in high positions. Hmm, sounds like our current U.S. presidential administration.

There, fixed it for you.

Yea, all his friends like John Cohen who won an SEC championship two years ago and another guy who was in charge of handling all the media relations for the KENTUCKY basketball team. Yea, no big responsibility there. I'm sure they will just twiddle their thumbs when they come down her to good ole Mississippi State. Leave now please, your and idiot.

Sorry for those no longer employed. Sucks for them, but there's a bigger picture here.

The only firing I can comment on is the one of the incompetent person in charge of the ticket office. He could put a damn retarded monkey in that position and it would be an improvement. Not to mention a great hire for our new baseball coach.

I'm sorry you are part of the old guard and may lose your job, but its time for Miss State to advance. Many of us are sick of the old ways the athletic department has functioned under. Its time to move forward and progress the way we should be. Get used to it, i'm sure more changes are on the horizon.

I'm not employed at MSU asshat. And, from what I understand, your opinion really doesn't matter on this board anyway. I have never seen someone attacked for stupidity as much as you have been Coach34

hmmm and the whole time I didn't think it could get much shadier than when LT was AD. Thanks for shedding light on this situation, because in no way should Mr. Byrne be able to appoint "friends" in high positions that he can trust. He should just keep the old regimes "friends".

Coach34, YOU are not a whiner? Are you really serious? Wow, please define what a whiner is and make sure you include yourself in on it too when you come up with one. "Stans isn't a good coach. blah blah blah." Cmon man, get a freaking life

This happens in nearly every major corporation and government office. The one in charge always does their best to populate their staff with people that they have worked with in the past. They do it because they know what type of work & product they can expect from these people. Sure, I would be willing to bet a lot of these people are friends with Byrne as well. However, I'm pretty sure that Byrne is more interested in building a name for himself as an energetic and highly successful A.D. than he is in giving friends a cushy job. I have no doubt that the people he is bringing in have proven themselves on a professional level.

In short, you & the other idiot who started this thread either are a part of the old guard or have some close connection to the old guard would be my guess.

Oh, P.S. Your and idiot, dubmass

You really think you are the first person to come on this board and drop that line? Is your real name Derek or Leanne?

You're doing your best to reply to every comment a person makes at you, but you're going to play the "I have a life" card. You're a goddamn idiot.

Pat needed to be fired years ago. The ticket office is a complete joke and she was generally rude and bitter. All indications are that Don had been mailing it in for years now awaiting retirement. Rosinsky was generally disliked by the media, you know, the people his job is designed to cater too.... These were all good moves by Grege and I think you will see a few more over the next few months. They, like Polk, are now gone. There are over 600 new bc members since the anouncement of LT's retirement. With that in mind, if you choose to stop supporting MSU and the AD's direction, you will not be missed.

Derek? nah can't be must be "push on brother, push on" And I'm going to go with no you don't have a life, if you haven't noticed all the good things that Byrne has accomplished in his short time as AD. So why don't you crawl back in your hole from where you came from or go find another job instead of whining.
