Don’t agree with that last sentence. Acc is only getting one team. A loss in this situation doesn’t really change their playoff outlook to much. I don’t see them getting in over a Miami or smu team that loses in the championship even with a win against South Carolina.

I also believe the SEC only gets 3 in playoffs after games yesterday leaving us out even beating clempson.

I’m just not that confident in Miami Being on the rd at Cuse. That can be a big sand trap. Playoffs and championship brith on the line, That can easily go the wrong way.

Agree. Syracuse will give them all that they want. Whoever said the playoffs would diminish the regular season….well I think we can all see that isn’t true.

For all the years I believe people talked about the bowl games diminishing in value. Expanding to 12 games where .500 teams made it in. To players sitting out, we are beginning to see an end to bowl games and an expanded playoff to 16 inevitable.

And again, have the higher seed host all playoff games through the semifinals. The championship game can be held a a neutral site, rotating among all the "major" bowl cities, Pasadena each year (akin to Omaha in baseball), or put it out for bids like is done in hoops.

And those bowls which survive - good for them.
