They converted three 4th and 10’s on the final drive and scored their first touchdown in the fourth quarter on a 4th and 21 play. Raiders better score a TD on this drive because Chargers offense is hot.

I want to believe that the weak coverage isn't intentional I really do

This has been a helluva duel between two young QBs. Hope we are going to see more from these guys against each other.

Raiders could just kneel and if the Chargers don’t call timeout they would both go to the playoffs.

That Chargers timeout might have cost them the playoffs.

What a game. What a day.

Raiders could have let the clock run out but they wanted to knock their division rivals out of the playoffs. I respect that.

Unbelievable game. With all the drama and playoff scenarios, one of the best NFL games I’ve seen in a long time.

This was the best final week of the season I can remember. Most of the time it’s over and teams sit their starters but there was so much to play for today.

I’m dumbfounded. Why do you call a timeout?

I agree that timeout didn't make any sense, but I don't think it changed the Raider's strategy. They were definitely going for the win regardless. Carr said that in his post game interview.

Great day of football but for the life of me I cannot understand that timeout… the raiders would have run the clock out.

The Chargers called the timeout with 4 seconds left on the play clock, so it really didn’t affect the game clock. The Raiders were lined up in the shotgun on 3rd and 4. After the timeout, they came out in single back and ran the ball.

If the timeout changed the Raiders strategy, it likely changed the play call from pass to run. Maybe the Raiders realized during the timeout “hey, let’s just run it, and if we get the first down, we can kick, but if not, just let the clock run out.”

Man that Chargers coach makes some baffling decisions. There was a Sunday night game earlier this year where he refused to kick field goals and went for it on 4th down every time and almost always failed. Then he goes for it on 4th down tonight from their own 20 and gave the Raiders a free 3 points. Then of course the timeout call in overtime. Just bad decisions.

Would they? Seems like if the goal was to run the clock out; wouldn’t you just kneel on it?
