I see he resigned at Miami. Would anyone take him over what we currently have?

I liked him but.... he was able to shut teams down on 1st and 2nd down but we always seemed to give up a big play on 3rd and long. Frustrating.

<kidding> -- You should be banned immediately for even speaking his name.

This is just mho of course, but..... I vividly recall previous years very recently where I *LITERALLY* saw Defensive players get out of the way to avoid attempting to make a tackle. I even said so openly on this forum. Others disagreed of course and I advised them to watch the replay. At times it was *BLATANT* - and it infuriated me to no end.

Fast forward to this past season -- I don't recall seeing that once. That's improvement in my book and I'll take it and stick with what we have, thank you very much.

Think he’d stand tall on our all time lists of DC’s.

Man, he has really fell off. From being the HC at Louisville and Texas, to this.

I'll never forget that 3rd and 23 he gave up at Tennessee when we were in a position to pull a massive upset. I was watching from the stands. That 3-5-3 that beat Georgia twice lasted for about a season and a half, generously. Once opponents figured it out, it was really over for him, and for us.

It's amazing how one single play in a game resonates for so long. You can't think of Strong without remembering that play.

I went out of my mind and thankfully didn't have a brick nearby.

Definitely would be catching him on his way down for sure! Not what a program on the rise would need or want.

Might as well propose bringing that would class skirt chaser, Lorenzo Ward, back!

He posted top 15 defenses during his time here when the offense was putrid and was a great recruiter. He only left when it was clear the fans would have wanted him to succeed Holtz over his son. As an analyst, he knows this league and has coached some of the best defendere this league had to offer at Florida and Alabama. He would be an excellent resource for White in terms of scheme, what you may face week to week and in recruiting evaluations. Just saying.....
