That final run by Purdy was horrible. Did you see the way he held the ball out? That was easily popped loose by the defender. Shame the game ended that way though. But Purdy started 40+ games at ISU, so he absolutely knows not to hold the ball out like that.QB Brock Purdy with some of the worst plays/decisions I've seen from a preseason Heisman candidate. Bats his own deflected pass to the Clemson D for a pick 6. Acts like there is plenty of time inside 2 minutes to play with 1 timeout. Makes a clutch run for a first down with under a minute to play, then decides he's Barry Sanders instead of going down, fumbling the ball back behind the line to gain, ending the game.
