Does this represent the culture of the Blackhawks organization or the entire city of Chicago?

I can’t imagine any scenario or position internal to a professional sports team can be inductively applied to a city as a whole, but I’m not familiar with what happened here. 2010? That’s 12 years ago.

At the risk of oversimplifying -- we know how that painted us unfairly -- it's a sexual abuse scandal w/i the organization that has only recently come to light. The lag time may result from the organization's efforts to cover it up. I'm not saying there was a cover-up -- again, I won't oversimplify & I have not studied the case deeply.

Scandal from 2010 went viral last year.

Blackhawks staffer Brad Aldridge got underage player(s) drunk and physically forced them into sex acts and threatened them to STFU.

One of the victims, Kyle Beach, reported directly to the Blackhawks and the report was advanced to head coach Joel Quenneville who said he would not allow a distraction like that to derail the team in their quest for a Stanley Cup. GM Stan Bowman also chose to ignore the report.

The Blackhawks allowed Aldridge to resign with his reputation intact and he would go on to abuse high school athletes in Michigan.

It is said that this scandal was the best-kept secret among sports reporters in Chicago. Would love to find out what @Dan_Bernstein knew and when.

He'll be lucky if he gets off with the mild Whoopi treatment. Dumb.
