I thought about that too. All these things they've done over the years to shorten games in all sports - doesn't that just cut down on the amount of time for commercials? I'm sure they've factored that into it though, they preserved the commercial time while cutting actual game time.
I'm not totally against it though. State generally is a defensive team, so cutting down these huge scoring games is no skin off my back.
