It will be good anyways we got Russell coming in next year that guy can make huge impressions and leave Relf hopeless.

in 2007 along with the Riddell kid from Oregon who had no offers in HS, but managed to become a 4-star JUCO. (Ask me about highly rated JUCO QB's... I still have nightmares.)

Then last year, you took no QB at all, so you go from logjam to open waters.

How the hell is Croom measuring potential?

Relf has good mobility, is huge, and has a great arm, he just can't get the mental part of the game down and is extremely inaccurate. Being a 2 star doesn't mean you don't have any talent.</p>

That's where he needs to go based on his size, athleticism, and team needs. I'm just not all that reassured with a TE that's 6'1".

....and say I told you so. I saw Relf in high school and could not believe we offered him. Been saying for two years he will end up at at SWAC school before it's all said and done. The sheep compared him to Vince Young one day, and I almost started a race riot over there by saying their only similarity was being black quarterbacks.

Relf in the first place. If a guy with his athletic ability had any real SEC QB potential more folks would have been on him out of HS. Riddell is a completely different story. He was helping us and could have continued to help us had he not gotten the knee injury. He had the best looking throwing form on the team (even better than Carroll) and had won the starting spot until going down. He sort of reminded me of guys coming out of JUCO with good numbers that could be at least an adequate SEC QB (i.e. a Stewart Patridge type). I do think his laid back "California" attitude didn't set well with Croom however and the DUI he got really put him behind the 8 ball in our program. But in the end, while things didn't end up well with Riddell he was not a wasted scholarship but I'm afraid Relf will be.

But it seems he just won't come around... wait isn't he a freshman? He has some time to mature.
