Kirk Ciarrocca re-hired as OC for Minnesota. We see them next November at home
Saw that the other day the other day. And in keeping with past Minny and PSU coaches Jerry Kill is getting the old band back together at New Mexico St with Matt Limegrover and Tracy Klaes (sp?).Kirk Ciarrocca re-hired as OC for Minnesota. We see them next November at home
Fixed it. Buck teeth beaver/gopher all rodents to meBucky? Was Goldy retired?
Ciarrocca was an analyst with West Virginia this past season. Was Ciarrocca coaching this season?
They're all in the same boat. Rowing.Fixed it. Buck teeth beaver/gopher all rodents to me
While PSU paid him his $1 Million buyout.Ciarrocca was an analyst with West Virginia this past season.
After Joe, Penn State instituted a "No Italians" clause in all contracts, which was obviously overlooked by everyone. They had to fix it, and this was the only way they could. While PSU paid him his $1 Million buyout.
Something was very strange about the entire Ciarrocca stint at Penn State.
Bro, beavs are tremendous beastsFixed it. Buck teeth beaver/gopher all rodents to me
Agree. When you think about the weird 2020 covid year - a year where Penn State's offense actually ranked pretty high in the B1G at season's end - there isn't an easy answer as to why Ciarrocca was let go... Especially considering he did most of his coaching through zoom, etc. But that's been discussed many times on the old board. Must have been a personality/difference of opinion type thing. While PSU paid him his $1 Million buyout.

The only thing that was strange about his situation was the fact that he was hired in the first place. Absolutely nothing on his resume that screamed "top notch" offensive coordinator, other than the fact that he took Brent Pry to school that one November afternoon in Minneapolis with a couple of NFL players going up against the likes of Lamont "two steps too slow" Wade. On paper, it's easy to see why CJF sent him packing when he had the opportunity to bring Yurcich here - again, on paper. We'll see what Yurcich does in the next 2 years.Agree. I don't know that anyone considered him a "top notch" offensive coordinator. But nonetheless, he was hired. The argument was made that it was strange to let him go after a very quirky year, when the numbers weren't that bad.The only thing that was strange about his situation was the fact that he was hired in the first place. And KurtC was never given a winter program with the team, never had spring football, never was on campus in the summer of 2020 with the squad, never had an official practice with the team until mid-September. But Kurt's offense put 56 on Illinois!I don't know that anyone considered him a "top notch" offensive coordinator. But nonetheless, he was hired. Here are the offensive stats comparing the last two years:
PPG - 2020: 29.78 2021: 26.25
Yards Per Game - 2020: 430 2021: 380.8
If Yurcich were let go today, wouldn't that be "strange" too? And his numbers are worse than Ciarrocca.
That's a bit awkward considering that Claeys fired Limegrover after he took over as head coach at Minny.Jerry Kill is getting the old band back together at New Mexico St with Matt Limegrover and Tracy Klaes (sp?).
Yea I'm surprised too because I thought he (Clayes) had even more baggage than firing Limegrover but thats what the article said. That's a bit awkward considering that Claeys fired Limegrover after he took over as head coach at Minny.

maybe franklin is difficult to work with.I always wondered if Ciarrocca clashed with Franklin and/or lacked good chemistry with the players. Remember that Franklin is big on relationships. Maybe Ciarrocca’s personality wasn’t a good fit. It might have been something other than X’s and O’s.
I have a friend that was a backup QB at a University while KC was the WR coach early in his career and that friend can't remember him being there at the same time.I always wondered if Ciarrocca clashed with Franklin and/or lacked good chemistry with the players.
