I tried to link article but it just went to subscription page. Since I don’t subscribe, can’t read article. Just going off headline from a few minutes ago.

Apparently Arnett’s “troll job” worked on Nashville.
It’s easy to troll people who don’t know
or bother to even follow up on potential leads.

A lot of media folks are spoon-fed way too much.

And folks generally are gullible.

Still want to know who makes sense having hired Friend last week. Something still feels very odd....

What’s odd about hiring an OL coach who has been an OL coach at 3 different SEC schools, played at a 4th, and had success at all of them?

Arnett hired him without an OC. That's odd. Often the OC is picked out or the OC makes that hire.

Is that usually the case or just message board reasoning? How much of the defensive staff did Arnett hire when he first came to state?

Coordinators can get pretty attached to their o line guys and preferences. I'm not suggesting he's not good at what he does (he is). It's just weird with zero other context on what system we are going to run and who is going to manage it.

He also hired him a couple of days after Friend agreed to terms with Memphis.

Makes me feel like our OC has been found and is coaching tomorrow night. Bryan McClendon? AJ Ricker?
