I've got Cleopatra with Elizabeth Taylor on right now. The scale and visuals of the movie are something to behold. It looks like they have a small city of extras, with huge sets, and vibrant colors everywhere. You just don't see that in today's movies anymore unless they use some poor rendition in cgi. Whoever did the cinematography did an outstanding job.

As with the old board, this place really needs a separate OT board for the old farts.

I watched Citizen Kane. I just wasn't a fan. I'm sure knowing what Rosebud was took some of the suspense out of the movie, but I don't think I would have cared for it anyways. It just seemed a bit too bombastic to me. On the plus side I got to see the vigorous clapping meme.

I also watched Casablanca. Now that was a really good movie. Ingrid Berman was absolutely stunning. The portrayal of WW2 was a bit dated and naive, but the rest of the story and acting was outstanding. I don't know if I really cared for the cinematography of the movie, the focus seemed a little soft for my taste, but it definitely had a distinct look that fit with the story.
