Monte Lee did some great things at the College of Charleston and started off well for the Tigers but covid wiped out a potentially good year in 2020 and then they couldn't quite get traction.

I've always thought of Clemson as a program with the potential to break through and win the College World Series someday. And it may depend on who the Tigers hire...

Kendall Rogers with more... Looks like baseball is one of the sports that get less attention what with the Tigers' emphasis on football..

I think Clemson is a great job. Good school, big fan base, close that Marietta County circuit/recruiting ground, tradition, strong facilities. It checks every box — but Clemson needs to pay like it IS a premier job. https://t.co/fPr9Pa7tmO— Kendall Rogers (@KendallRogers) May 31, 2022

After a little digging…

Last reported coaching salaries in 2021 for Clemson.
Lee:$534,000 (24th for P5 coaches in 2021)
LeCroy: $159,000
Sew: $159,000
Owens, Director of baseball operations: $61,000

Thanks.

That’s not bad. Maybe it’s not elite like Kendall Rogers says but that’s got to be top 5 salary and funding within the ACC?

You’d think Clemson could add a little more to the pot or has their funding decreased a bunch thanks to Covid?

This is the kind of job I could see Gautreau or Foxhall leaving for. Maybe not the Clemson job specifically, but this kind of program.

Rogers has Bakich, Jarrett and Godwin at the top of their hot board. If history is any indication you can now scratch all 3 of those.

Yep. Pretty obvious he is clueless when it comes to coaching rumors. He just floats the obvious ones, and pumps the ones who have been helpful to him over his career.

Is it just me or would Lemonis possibly be interested here? Especially after our nimrod fanbase showed its *** all year.

ECU is Godwin’s alma mater and he has them as a national seed. He is super comfortable where he is. That said, I think he would consider leaving for millions/ year and a school he has ties to (Ole Miss or Vandy). I got the feeling he would have gone to LSU last year based on the way he talked publicly after interviewing with them.

I think he thinks now of South Carolina as a place to retire since that's home to him.

He was with Maineri at Notre Dame and LSU between Vandy and UCF, UM.
