Squeaked past Wake 17-12. Check this out…I don’t want to see anyone complaining about empty seats at WB. This is a “national championship” program. This was a one score conference game, and was also homecoming.

The clock shows less than 2 minutes left.....right before Wake scored the final TD. Not doubting you, so many fans apparently left early.

Yep. What a joke. They did the same thing for the Chs So game. Was a close game at the half, fans booed the team as they went to the locker room, and half the fans left.

It’s every fan base though when you want to get to the brass tax of things.
Absolutely. But in the last 20 years or so I honestly can’t remember a one possession conference game where 1/2 of WB was empty. That’s Maryland/Miami bad.

Their issues don't assuage our issues.

I dont know about that. Have you been to a movie lately? Lol
I've been to two since COVID. I went to watch something the wife wanted to see. I knew what I was getting into. But Maverick was worthwhile.

No, it was NOT ‘packed’ both corners of the North Upper Deck had plenty of empty seats. Watched much of this boring pillow fight from start to finish (I clicked over to other games including Bama/TAM). Good crowd, yes. Packed, no. The TV cameras never were on the South Upper Deck, so not sure what that looked like.

So now we are going to talk about them doing what people on here have been saying to do for years? Not to buy tickets until things change?

I saw that. Couldn’t have been more than 1000 empty seats in those corners.

I’d say several thousand empty seats, but neither of us know for sure. All of our games so far have been sellouts, as is the UF game. There’s always empty seats. Hundreds of fans stand on the four ramps at USC games. CU had a a very good crowd fur Homecoming weekend. What isn’t up for debate was the quality of offensive play, or special teams, on the football field.

I think a few things about this.
First, I have felt watching Clemson games this year that it seems the student end zone section has not been as full as the past. Florida St Game the exception.
Secondly, if you watched this game, it was extremely low scoring and really some pretty bad football. I think people left due to boredom.

College Football is starting to hurt itself a bit. I think people are tired of not knowing the players as much due to mass transfers every year and are hesitant to get behind a player that may or may not come back to that school. Prices for games are getting stupid when you include parking, concessions, travel, etc. It is becoming an all day expensive affair and to do that 7-8 times each fall gets pricey and not many people have that kind of money every season.
It is also getting hard to watch in person because of TV. Even at home it is getting hard to watch because of the amount of commercials and length of breaks. It is hard for a game to keep anyones attention all game long with that many breaks and the length of them especially if it is a very dull game to begin with (i.e. Clemson/Wake Forrest).

I think you will see this more and more at many stadiums. They were built to big years ago with add ons because many went to games and not as many on TV. Now the fans watch on TV and all those new seats are empty.

I don't think Carolina fans have any room to be pointing fingers at other programs about empty seats in a stadium, especially after halftime.

We generally have issues with the student section emptying out. But I'm not sure I've seen a close game situation where the entire stadium emptied out like that.

A lot of people on this board have wondered what is going on with Clem. IMO, this is it. They're missing this since BV left. This is what causes you to lose focus. This is what causes you to win the stat sheet but not the scoreboard.
